The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Second in Technology to join a very talented and dedicated team of staff at Dean Trust Ardwick.
Dean Trust Ardwick is a recent addition to The Dean Trust family of schools and began life in September 2015 in a purpose-built new school for 120 Year 7 students. Since opening in 2015 we are gaining a good reputation and pride ourselves on our high standards. From September 2016, the staff and students moved into the new 1200 place school. Since September 2019, we have a full complement of pupils, whilst still enjoying the benefits a growing school brings.
Situated on Stockport Road, a main route into Manchester city centre, we are in the heart of the Ardwick community and just next door to Longsight. We are a local school for local children, and we are here to provide a first class education for the pupils who attend the school, and to serve the community.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The post holder will be expected to support the Head of Faculty in assuming overall responsibility for leading the development of Design and Technology across all Key Stages. This is a new role and a ideal opportunity for an individual to work in a brand-new school and to help set the standard and ethos for what is intended to be an Outstanding school in the heart of Manchester.
- To continue to raise standards of pupil achievement and attainment in the faculty across all Key Stages through forensic analysis of pupil progress and proactive intervention.
- To work cooperatively with the Head of Faculty to ensure that the schemes of work for the faculty are up to date, reflecting national initiatives and curriculum changes.
- An individual who believes the schools vision that everyone can achieve their highest potential and ambition, whoever they are.
