We are looking for a dynamic and talented Secondary English Teacher in the south of Spain at El Limonar International School (ELIS).

The Role:

This role gives you the opportunity to develop the curriculum, further improve progress and results in KS3, at IGCSE and at A-Level, and to generally support and further develop the English provision we provide for students at ELIS. This role requires the teaching of the subject across most Year groups (including some Sixth Form). The successful applicant would also be a form tutor; would need to be able to drive curriculum developments within the department; and would be expected to be an integral member of the Upper School staff team. ELIS schools have now introduced individual digital devices for all Secondary students. With this in mind; a teaching professional that is both comfortable and inovative in their use of digital tools in promoting student learning would be an ideal candidate.

The post – Requirements:

* PGCE-qualified (or equivalent) teacher experienced in the teaching of English Language and Literature across at least KS3 to KS4.

* The ideal candidate would also have some staff and curriculum management experience

* All applicants should be either native-level English speakers or be technically bilingual (with a C2 level English qualification)

* Experience in preparing students for public examination is necessary. The strongest candidates would have PGCE and ESOL teaching qualifications and experience of successfully delivery Cambridge suite ESOL qualifications

* Experience as an Assistant Examiner would be an advantage but is not essential.

* As well as meeting the requirements of the general candidate specification, the successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, able to work independently and be very well organized.

* Knowledge of the Spanish language would be an advantage but is not essential.
