Are you seeking the opportunity to teach in a truly international environment?

A teacher of Geography at Aloha College will be expected to teach across the full ability range from 11-18. You should be able to demonstrate experience of teaching the British National Curriculum at Key Stage 3; GCSE or IGCSE Geography at Key Stage 4 and either A Level or The International Baccalaureate Diploma at Key Stage 5 to a high standard.  You should demonstrate a contemporary understanding of global issues and their application in the classroom.  Previous experience in teaching KS3 History and / or Environmental Science at any level would be an advantage.

You must be passionate, committed and well organised with qualified teacher status and a degree in a relevant subject. A commitment to active learning in the classroom and a flexible approach, combined with a willingness to participate fully in all aspects of school life is a prerequisite.  An empathetic approach and the capacity to provide high levels of pastoral care for students is also essential.

The successful applicant will be part of a team of seven teachers. The department is well-resourced and you will be fully supported with induction and continuing professional development.
