British Academy School Marrakech (BASM) seeks an experienced, qualified History and Geography Teacher (Secondary) to join our dynamic and rapidly growing school from August/ September 2022 onward. Early applications before the closing date are encouraged.


The School

BASM is a privately-funded primary and secondary school, located in Marrakech, Morocco. The overarching vision of BASM is to bring the best of British education to Morocco. The England & Wales National Curriculum is taught by qualified native/fluent English speaking teachers throughout the school leading to (I)GCSE qualifications and culminating in International A Levels.


The Role

We are looking for well qualified teachers with experience of teaching the England & Wales National Curriculum. The successful candidate will be teaching Secondary Maths. The ability to inspire students and create a stimulating learning environment is essential. Teachers at BASM have excellent subject knowledge and are expected to work collaboratively, to reflect on their own practice and to contribute to the ethos and vision of the school. In addition to key teaching responsibilities, staff have a pastoral role, giving them the opportunity to foster students’ holistic development and to play an integral part in the school community.

All teaching within the school is undertaken in English, therefore language competence can be assessed as part of the application process. All applicants must have a valid teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and at least 2 years teaching experience in a British school.
