All music teachers are expected to lead ensembles and work with the instrumental peripatetic teachers. The Department produces several concerts and musical shows throughout the year and work closely with other staff to support a plethora of whole school performances. The department is exceptionally well resourced with a wide range and number of instruments and much technology equipment. The school has a 450 seat theatre, a suite of music practice rooms and a recording studio. 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to set up a music provision and resource it as they see fit and be well supported by the use of a range of Apple technology.   They will devise a modern, creative and progressive music curriculum to engage children and create a love of music. Knowledge and experience of IGCSE and IBDP is desirable plus experience of teaching a second subject would be an advantage but is not essential.

Nexus is located in Putrajaya, near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Established in 2008, we currently enrol 700+ students from Early Years to Year 13 who learn through the IPC, IGCSE and IBDP curricula. Nexus International School was established in 2007 by Taylor’s Schools. The first campus was set up in Putrajaya, Malaysia and a sister school was opened in Singapore in 2012.
