St. George’s School seeks a well-qualified professional to teach Physical Education in our flourishing secondary department, to start in August 2019.
Serving the international community in Duisburg-Düsseldorf for over 10 years, St. George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The school has grown from small beginnings into a thriving community of over 700 pupils, aged from 2-18 and representing a broad range of nationalities.
The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth Form.

We are seeking to appoint a qualified teacher of Physical Education teacher to work in our well-established secondary school.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling pupils to achieve their potential. We are looking for the right balance between experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching which will inspire our pupils.
The department aims to give students an opportunity to explore their learning beyond the classroom and is proud of its extensive and expanding extra-curricular programme. A willingness to commit time and expertise to extra-curricular activities is therefore a prerequisite. Experience of the IGCSE for Physical Education and the IBDP course in Sport, Exercise and Health Science would also be an advantage.

According to local regulations, all our teaching staff must hold a recognised teaching qualification. This means either a graduate degree or post-graduate diploma in education. English language teaching certificates such as TEOFL or CELTA are unfortunately not valid.
