Applications are invited for Specialist Teacher – Learning Differences & Disabilities (7-12) for Independent school located in the Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. About the Role:
• Full-time, permanent role commencing Term 1, 2021
• Applicants must hold tertiary qualifications in Special Needs or relevant experience
• Responsible for developing, delivering and assessing learning programs that address a range of learning differences, difficulties, disabilities and needs related to Years 7-12 students
• Working with students in small groups, classroom and one-on-one settings, team teaching as well as collaborating effectively with other teachers across the High School
• Working with students with a range of abilities including high functioning gifted and talented students, Dyslexia and other language disorders, ADHD, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder and hearing and sight impairments
Selection Criteria:
• Be suitably qualified with a Teaching Degree (qualification must be recognised in Australia)
• Be registered, or have the ability to be registered with New South Wales Education Standards Authority & Working with Children Check
• Provide current and relevant teaching references
• Have the right to work in Australia
