Located in the city of Armidale, New South Wales, Australia, O’Connor Catholic College is a co-educational secondary school. First established in 1975, following a merger of two previously-existing schools, the school was named for an early 20th Bishop of the town. The school offers places to around 550 students aged 11-18, and is able to offer a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities. A school following an Australian curriculum, O’Connor offers a wide range of subjects for learners of all abilities and backgrounds, including mandatory French in their younger years at school. As they progress, older students begin their studies towards the Higher School Certificate, with the school maintaining a similarly strong range of subjects at this academic level. As well as this, older students also have the options of undertaking a VET programme in order to gain vocational qualifications in areas such as Hospitality and Construction.
