We currently have the following vacancy for a – SEMH Outreach Teacher

IIn support of our partnership with BCP and other Outreach Providers in the local area, Ambitions Academies Trust are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and skilled practitioner who is looking for a rewarding role in learning support, as an Outreach Teacher, joining and supporting a well-regarded and successful Team. This post is initially being offered on a Fixed Term contract, in line with our current SLA agreement with BCP.

In the role of Outreach Teacher, you will have: strong SEND / SEMH teaching experience across Key Stages, alongside a solid understanding of the SEND Code of Practice; a proven experience in teaching and supporting others to extend the progress and wellbeing of pupils / students who have a range of Social Emotional and/or Mental Health difficulties; worked over a period of time with pupils who have a variety of SpLD (including a variety of neuro-diverse profiles) and potentially a number of ACEs, within a mainstream or specialist setting; a strong moral duty to enable and empower others to ensure success. The ideal candidate will have a secure and strong experience base supporting students / pupils within the frameworks we know to support SEMH (e.g. SPELL, PACE and UPR), and are able to apply these with authenticity and experience into the classroom, or within a training environment.

The post will involve supporting staff in Primary and Secondary schools, across a geographical area of BCP, to effectively manage pupils to achieve the best possible outcomes toward leading a successful adult life. This will include spending time in classrooms completing observations and offering advice, suggesting strategies to empower Inclusion in the Classroom, and working with schools (within a wider system of support) to lead individual, small group, local or regional training, as required.

The post holder will work collaboratively with other professionals to secure best outcomes, in direct and collaborative partnership with members of the wider team involved in Outreach and System Support.
