Salary: £24,373 - £36,000 depending on experience

Location: Timeout Homes Ltd, Halifax

Contract type: Full Time

Hours: 8am - 16.30pm. Monday-Friday (Term time only)

Contract term: Temporary 12 months in first instance; with a view to move to permanent after 12 months.

Timeout Children Homes Ltd currently have two schools Riverbank Primary School in Ripponden (Ofsted rating Good with Outstanding features) and Elland House School in Oldham (Ofsted rating Good). We are in a very exciting time of growth and have opened a new school set in a historic and beautiful 44 acres of woodland in beautiful Luddendenfoot, Halifax; and require an SEMH teacher to support us on this journey.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed teacher with experience of working with children with SEMH to join our ever growing and dedicated team with a focus on teaching core subjects. We welcome applications from individuals with a range of backgrounds and who are at different stages in their career development.

We are looking for:

  • High quality classroom skills and a reflective practitioner
  • A teacher who relishes the challenge of reengaging disengaged learners into positive activity and outcomes through vocational, hands on, active learning.
  • Ability to teach a range of subjects to KS4 standard
  • Willingness to deliver in other curriculum areas.
  • Somebody who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative working.
  • Experience of working with SEMH children is desirable, however we will consider candidates with an enthusiasm and willingness to promote effective, inclusive education for children with SEMH's valued.
  • Someone who understands a therapeutic approach or a willingness to embrace the Timeout approach into their teaching.
