SEN Behaviour Support/ABA Tutor

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Behaviour support assistant/ ABA tutor who can provide 1:1 support to aid a child with Autism to learn effectively, inside and outside of the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience of special educational needs and understand how to motivate and support children to achieve their potential. Experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is preferred, but not necessary as training will be provided by an ABA Consultant. ABA is a therapy based on the science of learning and behaviour. The successful candidate will be expected to use ABA principles and techniques to promote the child’s self-control, independence and cooperation through developing their social, emotional and behavioural skills.

The successful candidate will work alongside and support the class teacher to ensure that the child is accessing the curriculum and making positive progress in all aspects of their learning. You will liaise closely with school staff, ABA Consultant and family to ensure that effective support is delivered, during class or play.
