SEN Learning Support Assistant

Smart Teachers is recruiting for SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in SEN schools in and around the Tower Hamlets and East London area. There are a range of roles available, including part time, full time, temporary roles in all different types of schools, ASD, PRU’s and SLD schools. We are also recruiting for day-to-day supply roles. The daily rate will range from £70-75 and there is scope for higher dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and uses their initiative in the classroom.

The role

• SEN Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA)  

• Tower Hamlets and East London Schools

• Full or part-time options available

• Day-to-day supply, short-term, long-term or permanent contracts available

• £70/75pd. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The school

• Range of special needs schools available 

• Working with children aged between 3 and 19 

• Alternate provisions, local authority mixed SEN schools

• Needs of the schools can include SEMH, ASD, MLD/SLD, ADHD, PMLD and more 

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) position, you will:

• Experience working with children or adults with special needs 

• NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers & support staff are welcome to apply

• Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
