Cheney School is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic professional who can play a key role in leading our successful programme of targeted 1: 1 and small group Literacy provision within a thriving and well-resourced Learning Support Department.
This is a valuable opportunity for an individual who:
- Has good knowledge and relevant qualifications in supporting young people with literacy difficulties
- Can demonstrate the leadership skills to manage a small team
- Has experience in teaching or supporting students with literacy difficulties
- Enjoys helping young people to overcome the barriers to learning presented by their literacy difficulties.

The post is for 37 hours per week, term-time plus one week, as directed. The post is paid on Grade 7 (Points 22 to 25 - £22,661 - £22,658). Actual salary payable: £17,846.53 – £19,571.49 per annum.
