ABC Teachers are working with an outstanding SEN school in Loughborough. They are looking for teaching assistants with previous experience working within an SEN environment. The school caters for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs from ages 4 to 19, primarily being ASD, PMLD and SLD. They are looking for an individual with the ability to remain calm and confident in sometimes challenging situations.

The role will begin as soon as possible and on an ongoing basis, with room for both day to day supply and longer term positions. You will ideally be able to work flexibly with the requirements of the school.

They are a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment, keeping pupils at the heart of everything they do. They enable pupils to learn about themselves, others and the world through play and sensory experiences and set the very highest standards in all their work 

You will need to have either a QTS or NQT qualification and relevant school references, ideally with experience of SEN. Applicants will need to be able to build a strong rapport with pupils and show excellent communication skills. You will need to be empathetic and highly supportive to the needs of the pupils. Having some experience in Personal Care would be beneficial to the role.

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain academic references to cover the last 12 months, one of which must be a school based reference. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
