SEN Progress Leader

The Governors want to appoint, for January 2019, a talented, committed and dynamic individual to lead and co-ordinate provision for SEN across the school and to lead and manage our Additionally Resourced Provision for Dyslexia.

The successful candidate will:

• have a track-record of success in supporting students with a range of educational needs, including dyslexia;
• be highly motivated with excellent inter-personal skills and have the ability to motivate both staff and students.
• will be totally committed to developing outstanding provision for young people who face challenges in learning;
• be willing to support the Catholic ethos of our school.
• have the appropriate SEN qualifications and preferably have a qualification for the teaching of dyslexic students.

Key responsibilities will include:

• leading and developing the SEN and Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) (Dyslexia) across the school;
• providing guidance and sharing good practice with subject leaders to enable high-quality teaching of students with a range of special      educational needs;
• recognising, assessing, monitoring and recording the progress of vulnerable students and arranging for appropriate intervention to support their continued development.
• To deliver relevant INSET training to staff.
