A Large number of schools in Wolverhampton require qualified Teaching assistants for supply based roles for day to day and potential long term cover.

The ideal candidate – 

Essential:

· Level 3 TA or SEN teaching qualification

· Experience within an SEN setting is a must; if not in a school, evidence of working long term with an organisation or individual with SEN

· Be eligible to work within the UK and hold a valid in-date DBS 

· Punctual and reliable and able to make a good first impression

· 3 recent references, 1 of which needs to be school based.

Desirable 

· Available for full and part time work on short notice

· Quick ability to build trust and a rapport with SEN students

· Flexible and ideally hold a full valid driving licence

· School based experience

Job role:

ABC Teachers are currently recruiting passionate and hardworking Teaching Assistants to work within the Special Educational Needs department of a number of schools located in Wolverhampton. The Schools cater for Students with a range of differing SEN issues and contain pupils aged between 6 and 16 years old and provides a challenging, exciting and rewarding environment to work within.

As part of the job you will be assisting the class teacher as well as working alongside other Teaching Assistants on a 1:1 basis as well as in a group setting. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a similar role.

The job would suit individuals who are looking for flexible roles to either further their knowledge in the SEN sector or to look to get their face known in certain schools. Occasionally permanent positions do become available although this cannot be guaranteed.

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain academic references to cover the last 12 months, one of which must be a school based reference. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
