Smart Teachers is recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher / English Teacher to join a SEMH school setting in Dagenham. This full time SEN Teacher / English Teacher position is available for a January 2019 start and it can be flexible or on a permanent contract. There is a possibility that the role will continue into the 2019/20 academic year. The salary starts from £130 per day, depending on experience.

In order to be considered for this role, the SEN Teacher / English Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree (preferred)
  • Proven experience teaching students within SEMH / PRU / AP environment
  • Keen on continuing Professional Development portfolio 
  • Strong behaviour management and exercise positive reinforcement strategies
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa / right to work)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS / police checks
