ABC Teachers are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a well-established SEN school in Birmingham on a full-time basis. The school caters for students with Autism (ASC) and other associated conditions and require a confident and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. 


About the role:

  • Provide learning support to students on a small group and 1:1 basis.
  • Work with students with varying special educational needs (SEN), mainly ASC and other associated conditions.
  • Build confidence and support each individual student to reach their full potential.
  • Full-time position to start ASAP.

About you:

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will:

  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
