Vision for Education is seeking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistant / SEN TA / SEN Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA to join our successful team and to work in a Primary Setting within the Bristol area. 

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant / SEN TA / SEN Learning Support Assistant / SEN LSA should have experience working with primary aged pupils with SEN, and ideally hold a TA or HLTA qualifications. You will be working with Year 4 child on a 1:1 basis, supporting the child in class and during break. You will be able to work closely with the classroom teacher to plan innovative and engaging lessons that will meet the needs of the child. 

This is a full-time, fixed term position which will occasionally include covering lunch duty. 

The school is a well-established and popular School in Bristol. The school has a supportive and happy environment, with an established staff and excellent parental/guardian involvement.

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant / SEN TA / SEN Learning Support Assistant / SEN LSA, the minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: 

• Ideally (but not essential) hold a TA or HLTA qualification or graduate seeking experience in the education sector

• Experience working with children with special educational needs including but not exclusively ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEBD and SEMH  

• Have current/recent experience (within the last two years) 

• Be flexible, resilient and the ability to think on their feet

• hold a current enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo one through Vision for Education and have it registered on the Update Service
