Job overview

ABC Teachers are currently looking for hard working and enthusiastic individuals with recent experience in an SEN setting for a variety of placements including short term and longer-term assignments at a school we work closely with in Stoke-on-Trent, starting in September. 

You will be working with students who have various special needs, these mainly being ASD, Complex needs as well as social, emotional and mental health issues.  

We ask that the ideal candidate has recent experience working with children who have special educational needs and is confident in their ability manage behaviour and to work with varying learning difficulties. 

In this role you will be supporting the class teacher with the daily running of the classroom and lessons, as well as working with other teaching assistants to support students both 1:1 and in small groups.  


Requirements:

All staff must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure which must also be registered to the Update Service (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you), need to provide professional or academic references and attend a face to face interview. A prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent, referenceable school based experience within an SEN setting (within the last 5 years).
