We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant for a Special Educational Needs School located in Oscott. This school caters for students with PMLD who are 3 to 19 years of age. This school ensures that all classes have a high staff to student ratio. You will be working with students on a 1:1 basis and with small groups, developing their understanding in a variety of subjects.
This role will begin in September and be on an ongoing basis until the end of the academic year. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide all students the learning environment that they deserve. You will be supported by a network of staff that are experienced in working with SEN students and are dedicated to their role.
The ideal candidate –
· Level 3 TA qualification
· Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)
· Build rapport with the children
· In date DBS & on the Update Service
What to do next:
To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child and Adult Workforce; you will need to pay for this upfront and add this to the Update Service. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you.
We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
