SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant, looking to make a difference in young peoples lives? 

ABC Teachers part of TES are actively seeking to recruit a confident Teaching Assistant for a role within a Special Educational Needs school located within the Telford area. 

This will be an ongoing, part time role starting in September, perfect for a candidate looking for some flexibility in their working days.

The students in this school have varying special needs, these mainly being moderate learning difficulties and ASD. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working within an SEN environment or working with children who have similar learning difficulties, as well as being a confident communicator, able to build a strong rapport with students. 

You will be required to assist the class teacher with the daily running of the classroom as well as working alongside teaching assistants and working in small groups and 1:1 with students in order to tailor the curriculum to the individuals. 

The ideal candidate –

· Teaching Assistant Qualification

· Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)

· Have previous, proven experience within an SEN setting

· In date DBS & on the Update Service  

· Be eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa is applicable)

What to do next:

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child and Adult Workforce; you will need to pay for this upfront and add this to the Update Service.  At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
