Queensway Infant Academy has an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant with MSA responsibilities to work with Early Years/ Key Stage 1 children. The Academy are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate with a ‘can do’ approach. 

This role requires the successful candidate to undertake care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with special education needs.

We are looking for someone positive, passionate, caring and enthusiastic and who can engage with children and inspire and motivate them to be the best they can be.

There is a need to promote independent learning skills and behaviours for learning. 

Ideal candidates will:

• Have knowledge and experience of in working in KS2

• Have a patient and focused attitude towards the educational development of children

 • Willingness to support and contribute effectively towards the learning.


Queensway Infant Academy and Nursery is a two formed Infant School with a Nursery based in Thetford.

Level two qualification in both English and Maths, or equivalent experience are essential.


A Teaching Assistant qualification would be a distinct advantage.

Experience in working in an education setting, classroom management and working with children of a relevant age is essential.
