This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, energetic and committed SENCO to join Bromley High Junior School.
The role will involve the strategic co-ordination and overseeing of the provision for Junior School pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including the more able, gifted and talented.
Some specialist one to one, small group and classroom support will be required; however, we have an emphasis on empowering all staff to adopt inclusive and proactive teaching for all pupils. The ability to conduct an effective assessment system of screening and individual diagnostic tests and liaise with parents and outside agencies, to track and monitor the progress of pupils is a key element of the role.
The successful candidate will also ideally coordinate EAL provision across both the Junior and Senior School. Training would be available to assist in this.
If you have experience of regular class teaching, covering a range of abilities and ages, with experience of teaching pupils with SEND, we would be delighted to hear from you.
