The children, staff and governors at Holy Trinity are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational part time, SENCo who is interested in working up to 3 days a week (0.6 FTE) to cover a maternity leave for an academic year. This could be extended to a full time post with 3 days a week SENCO and teaching commitments for 2 days.

Holy Trinity School is a one-form entry Church of England school with a single bulge class and morning nursery, led by a dedicated team of Governors and senior leaders.  A multiple-year journey of improvement, inspired by the school mission statement, resulted in an outstanding grade from OFSTED.  We continue to be committed to achieving an outstanding education for all our children.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: 

  • High aspirations for all children and a desire to raise standards.
  • Supporting all staff in identifying, assessing and planning to meet the needs of all children who have special educational needs.  
  • Strategic development, evaluation and implementation of the special needs policy and provision.
  • Ability to make and organise specialist provision for students with recognised special educational needs.
  • Be able to liaise effectively with parents/carers and a range of specialists and agencies to plan and evaluate provision, including preparing and reviewing formal documentation on behalf of children.
  • Is an outstanding teacher, with the ability to, motivate and develop the highest standards in our teachers.
  • Will work transparently, proactively and enthusiastically within our team.
  • Will nurture and inspire our children, so that each child is kept safe and has access to the best educational opportunities.
  • Will be able to support and develop the school’s vision with children, parents, staff and governors.
  • Is fully supportive of the school’s Christian ethos.
  • Is confident to contribute to and learn from best practice in Barnet.

Holy Trinity School is a single-form entry Church of England school including a nursery.

 The school is located on a site close to the heart of East Finchley in North London and has a long and proud track record of serving the community with a history dating back to 1847, moving to our current site in 1975.
