A rare opportunity has arisen to lead our Special Needs provision within the school. We are seeking an experienced SENCo who is a passionate, enthusiastic professional who will champion our students and inspire them to be the best that they can be. As part of our inclusion team, you will provide dynamic leadership to our team of dedicated and skilled teachers and support assistants. You will also play a significant role in driving our Disadvantaged Strategy to support our vulnerable and Pupil Premium students.

We are looking for an experienced middle leader who:

• Has an excellent understanding of the SEN Code of practise and its implementation

• Can work strategically and proactively with our parents and carers

• Can champion and develop confident learners

• Is a strategic and strong problem solver

• Is an excellent communicator

It is an exciting time for a dynamic and innovative practitioner to make their mark. We can promise a demanding but ultimately rewarding experience as we move forward towards an “outstanding” future.

• The school is massively oversubscribed and comfortably fills its admission number of 345 places in Year Seven – Year 9. Parents and students therefore have a massive investment in the school.

• The Coundon Sixth Form numbers 220 plus students and delivers A Level and Vocational provision. A Level teaching is widely distributed amongst the staff.  All our students go onto positive destinations.

• We have a significant, core CPD programme based around cross subject learning teams that is challenging and extending the staff skills base. Our NQT and School Direct programme is also highly successful in securing qualification and progression into jobs at Coundon Court.
