We are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly effective SENCO with experience at Secondary level, who will lead, develop and manage a high standard of provision for learners with additional educational needs. You will be committed to ensuring that the standards of attainment are high and that students make accelerated and sustained progress.

The successful candidate will develop the specialist provision for students with identified SEND, support teachers to differentiate their lessons and ensure that the legal and statutory requirements are met for students with AEN.  You will hold (or be working towards the completion of) the National Award for SENCO and have a detailed working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and experience of delivery within this framework. This would suit an experienced SEN teacher looking for their first management role.

We partner with Forest Hill Boys’ School to operate SFH6 - the Sydenham and Forest Hill Sixth Form. This provides a wide range of opportunities and progression routes for students. This year 89% of our Sixth Form students went on to University, with over 70% progressing to the top research intensive universities including Oxford, Cambridge and the Russell Group. 100% went on to either University, training apprenticeships or employment.
