We are looking to replace our current SENDCO by January 2020 or sooner if possible.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, approachable and who can build excellent relationships with children, staff and parents who is hardworking, enthusiastic and suitably qualified with an excellent proven record of SEND within the nursery and primary age range.

To be successful they must have an eye for detail, exceptional IT and admin ability, and be able to keep pupil's passports and records up to date and accurate and have a sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.

We are  looking for someone who is qualified to do Dyslexia assessments and tutoring if possible.

A sound knowledge of attachment disorder, ASD and sensory issues would be desirable.

The position is part-time with exact hours by arrangement with a minimum of 1.5 days per week plus individual tutoring.

The job involves supporting teachers and learning support staff and individual needs assistants with target setting and planning appropriate work for children on the SEN register.

The SENDCO needs to liaise with outside agencies, the local authority and apply for EHC plans where appropriate.

If applicable the SENDCO works extra hours to provide one to one tutoring for children with dyslexia.

Our Small School is a very special place for children aged from 3 to 11 where children are treated as individuals and taught in small groups. We provide a unique learning environment within a beautiful wooded rural setting.

Our school opened in 2001 in Ringmer and moved to its present setting in 2005. The small school offers an holistic kindergarten and primary curriculum based on the work of Frederich Froebel. Children’s interests lead much of the curriculum planning. At Annan Farm children learn through first hand experiences, play and activity. From their first beginnings in the kindergarten, children spend much of their time outdoors learning through nature. They take part in sessions of Forest School in the wildlife area and in the woods adjacent to the school as well as caring for their own organic garden.

The school is situated in a lovely wooded setting with lots of outdoor spaces to explore and trees to climb. We provide a learning environment which addresses the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual and creative needs of each child, helping them to realize their unique potential.
