Values and vision

Bourne Community College offers only 150 student places in each year group. This leads to a strong sense of community and allows the school to cater for each of its students as an individual. The aim is to fully prepare students for life beyond school and to ensure their success during this crucial stage of their learning journey.

The secondary school holds specialist status in modern foreign languages. It is proud of the strong international partnerships that have been developed over the last 10 years, which serve to enrich students' education and give them a real insight into the lives of other young people and cultures around the world.

Ofsted report

“The quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good. Most teachers plan engaging lessons that motivate pupils. Teachers use information they have about pupils well, so that work builds on what pupils already know, understand and can do.”
