Job overview

Ref: SIP00000

Could you help lead our dynamic, growing school improvement company?

Barking and Dagenham is the youngest, fastest growing borough in London. With a strong track-record of improving standards across our school community, driven by genuine partnership within and between schools and the council, ours is an exciting environment in which to work and develop your career.

We have made great progress in recent years, but we’re not satisfied yet. We have created BDSIP to help drive further improvement in achieving the best possible outcomes for all our children and young people, particularly the most vulnerable.

Majority owned by local schools, BDSIP is a not-for-profit company delivering a broad range of services for schools within and beyond the borough, and for the council. We also provide the strategic forum for the further development of a school led system.

We are London’s growth opportunity and, with Barking and Dagenham’s population set to increase dramatically, we are well placed to grow with and beyond the borough.

As a member of the senior leadership team at BDSIP you will play a key role in shaping our organisation and growing service offer. Working across the 3 - 19 age range, you will lead the design and delivery of a high quality, compelling and commercially viable SEND and inclusion offer for schools. You will also ensure council commissioned service priorities are delivered responsively and effectively, and will help lead the development of peer-to-peer support and collaborative working between schools.

If you think you have the expertise, leadership skills and commercial nous to take up this exciting challenge and help shape our future we would love to hear from you. Please upload your CV and a Covering Letter detailing how you meet the requirements via the apply link.

For an informal discussion about the role please call Ben Spinks, Chief Executive, BDSIP, on 020 8227 5101 or 07974247842.

Closing Date for Applications is 26th January 2018 (23:59pm)

The successful candidate will be required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check for Children.
