Are you looking for make a difference to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Peterborough and the surrounding areas? If you are, then Vision for Education want you!

We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced teachers to work with children and young people (3-19) with a range of SEND, including autism, PMLD, SEMH and sensory impairments. We are working with a large number of specialist settings who are using teachers for short-term and long-term supply, and we need more people to fulfil their requests.

It is essential that you are able to have a real presence in the classroom and have the ability to work well within a team as well as on a 1:1 basis. We are looking for people that can build excellent relationships with children and young people with SEND, who need consistent one to one care, and who use a variety of specialist methods to communicate.   

Ideally, you will:   

•Have qualified teacher status (QTS). 

•Have a good working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.  

•Be experienced in using a variety of communication methods (e.g. Makaton and BSL). 

•Be trained in Moving and Handling 

•Be considerate of the principles of child development and learning processes.
