Required from January 2022
We are seeking to appoint a qualified, passionate, driven SEND teacher who has experience of working with young children and works with equal efficacy independently and as part of a team. The Additional Needs Department is a key part of academic provision at Pembridge Hall, working across the school to support children both inside and outside the classroom. The role will involve specialist teaching to small groups and individuals, and administrative duties in relation to special educational needs across the school therefore IT proficiency is required. Experience of teaching in a London preparatory school would be an advantage, though by no means essential.
For the right candidate, there is also the option of Head of Additional Needs who will be responsible for leading and managing a team of teaching and support staff with the provision of SEND and EAL throughout the school. Nurturing learners and raising attainment for pupils with additional needs is intrinsic to our whole school ethos and applicants should share our vision for high aspiration and achievement for all. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and have the human skills necessary to collaborate effectively and engagingly with parents, external agencies and staff in order to develop strong relationships with children, parents and the wider community.
Candidates should indicate in their application if they are interested in pursuing this additional role.
