Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an SEND Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local primary school in the Newcastle area. This position is set to begin from September 2018 until July 2019.

This is an average sized primary school where pupils and staff work well, creating an interesting and engaging environment for the pupils. The school is looking for a committed and successful SEND Teaching Assistant, to work full time with an Autistic pupil, working 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have excellent knowledge of working with children with SEND. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support whole class and small group activities as well as mainly working 1-1.

To be considered for the position SEND Teaching Assistant you must:

  • Have      experience supporting children in primary education with SEND
  • Hold      a Level 2 or above qualification in childcare
  • Have      a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Primary School      Staff
  • Have      a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring      lessons
