Townley Grammar School is a selective and multi-cultural girls’ school in the London Borough of Bexley looking for a SENDCo to ensure every one of our students receives an excellent education. Townley Grammar School believes in high expectations, challenge and aspiration for all learners including those who face barriers to learning. This role is an essential leadership position within the school, working closely with staff, students and families.
The role of the SENDCo is the lead the whole school in the provision, monitoring and development of education for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The right candidate will;
Have experience as a SENDCo, Deputy SENDCo or similar role in inclusion in a school setting.
Be a qualified teacher who has completed or is completing the NATSENCo Award
Be a strong communicator with a range of audiences including teachers, parents/carers and children who may have accessibility needs.
Have experience in multi-agency working and working with families.
Believe in evidence-informed approaches to education and innovation in schools.
Practice a child-centred approach to provision which puts student and family voice at the centre of decision making.
Have high expectations for all learners.
Regard the safeguarding of students as the most important part of your work.
