The Governors of La Sainte Union Secondary school are seeking to appoint to this important middle leader role an outstanding teacher with an interest in taking on the role of SENDCo, who will take responsibility for the quality of teaching, learning, and provision for children with special needs. 

This post requires an interest in developing the quality of teaching and learning throughout the school, with a focus on ensuring best practice with children with special needs and disabilities. It is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding classroom practitioner to work closely with other heads of department and would suit an aspiring Assistant Headteacher.

Successful candidates must be willing to study for the National SENDCo qualification. 

Significant administrative support will be provided to ensure that the Head of DSEN has the capacity to focus on the quality of classroom delivery across the whole school and manage their own teaching load.
