We are a part of the Frank Field Education Trust and work collaboratively with others in our

The Headteacher and Governors of Handforth Grange Primary School and Nursery are seeking to employ a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated SENDco / Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer for a temporary maternity cover.

To co-ordinate and manage the work of the specialists for Learning Support as part of the Comprehensive Support Team. To manage the deployment and development of the specialist provision. To undertake the duties of SENDco and promote good SEND practice across the school.

To assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in all matters of safeguarding and child protection across the school. Take part in strategic discussions and inter-agency meetings, and contribute to the assessment of children.

Advise and support other members of staff on child welfare and child protection matters, and liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority designated officer (LADO) and police.
