We are looking for a Senior Administrative Officer who will play a key role in school, managing the Administrative function within the Academy, and linking with Trust HR and Finance staff. 

Due to a recent Trust restructure, Finance and HR will be carried out from a central Hub, covering a number of Trust schools. We therefore need an experienced admin leader to manage and undertake the admin function within school, including reception, reprographics, cash handling, and pupil data, and to line manage a number of support staff.

The role will include:

  • Line managing admin assistants, receptionist, and reprographics assistant, and working closely with the Head’s PA, and Exams and Data Manager, as part of the Admin team.
  • Managing and undertaking administrative procedures including typing,word processing and more complex IT based tasks
  • Taking part in the First Aid rota one day per week
  • Carrying out admin tasks relating to HR and Finance, and liaising between principal and Trust staff
  • Liaising with Catering and Cleaning teams, to help manage any admin related issues on a day to day basis
  • Act as Budget holder for areas such as admin supplies, reprographics, phone contracts and postage.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • High level experience of educational processes and procedures;
  • First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake training
  • Good knowledge and understanding of a school environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team
