We are seeking to appoint a Senior Business Support Officer to be responsible for the day to day workings of our busy main office; this will involve working alongside the rest of the administrative team to continue to provide an efficient and effective administrative support service within our school.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in an office environment, ideally a school office but not essentially.

We are looking to appoint an organised and efficient individual who has excellent ICT skills and the ability to work in a team or on own initiative.

Values and vision

Almondbury High School wants children to grow personally, socially and academically during their time studying there and aims to support each student and encourage their individual talents and skills. The school’s motto is ‘Growing Together – Achieving Together’ and works with parents and the community in Huddersfield to achieve this. Parents are also encouraged to get in touch through the ‘open door’ policy if at any time they have any questions or concerns.

The all-through school has a broad curriculum and offers pupils in Year 9 and 10 Enrichment options, to allow for them to gain confidence for life after school and develop an interest in a future career path. These include hairdressing training, talks on healthy living and drama productions. Extra-curricular activities are also organised to allow for students to nurture their talents and learn new skills.

Ofsted

“Pupils say that bullying is rare and should it occur they are confident that staff will deal with it quickly. They say they are happy to report to staff any instances where they feel they are bullied. Leaders successfully promote good attendance. They follow up any absences swiftly and rigorously. Attendance is high compared to the national averages. Few pupils are regularly absent and rates of exclusion are very low”.
