The Townsville Catholic Education Office is looking to appoint a Senior Business Systems Analyst as part of the Information Technology & Services team.

 

Location:  Townsville

Classification:  TCEO Level 2 ($85,386 - $96,103)

 

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a central role that delivers support to a variety of users in an application environment of growing complexity across the Townsville Diocese.  Shared data repositories in an enterprise software environment is an emerging growth area at Townsville Catholic Education and a significant shift in practice for the staff across our schools.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support users across the diocese, primarily via remote channels such as phone, VC and remote desktop support, in the use of applications and processes such as Compass, Edval, Technology One. PACS and other applications as the environment changes
  • Work collaboratively with project and operations staff across Townsville Catholic Education and its schools to facilitate change and growth in the application environment, to maintain service continuity and to assist end users adapt to changes.
  • Interface with third party providers to facilitate rapid resolution of software defects and system outages.
  • Understand the automation services in place in the Townsville application environment and assist administrative staff and other users to maintain the integrity of the data in supported applications; where the source of truth resides elsewhere, facilitate resolution of data errors by collaborating with appropriate system owners.
  • Identify incident/problem trends with applications in use and collaborate on resolution initiatives such as software enhancement requests, system/process training, multi-modal support material (e.g. manuals, how-to videos) etc.
  • Assist, under guidance, in the development and regular review of disaster recovery plans, backup strategies, business continuity planning and appropriate archiving of application data sets.

 

Experience and skills required:
