Ashbourne College is one of the leading providers of private sixth form education in the UK. Wonderfully situated near Kensington Palace, the College is an acknowledged leader in the field of exam-orientated education (47% A*A grades over the past three years). It offers students a university style environment focused on individual attention in classes of no more than ten.

We are currently looking to recruit a committed, enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior College Administrator and Attendance Officer who has administration experience within a school or college environment.

The candidate must also have strong leadership qualities as they will be in charge of the overseeing the smooth operations of the reception, of one of our three sites and will work closely alongside the Deputy Head of Administration. This is a key role which requires highly effective organisational and planning ability, along with excellent IT and communication skills. The ability to multi-task and prioritise work under pressure is essential. 

Within this role the attendance responsibilities will involve working alongside key school staff in school to promote excellent attendance, reduce levels of absence and work with the students, parents and outside agencies to promote high levels of attendance. It is essential to:

  • Promote and support high levels of attendance. 
  • To support students in achieving their full academic      potential. 
  • Promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture. 
  • Form strong relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Work alongside and feedback to our designated      safeguarding team regarding student attendance

Hours: Full Time (08:00 - 17:30) Monday - Friday. With the occasional need to work additional hours to fulfil the needs of the role at College events.  

Holiday: 20 days, the Christmas holiday period plus Bank holidays.

Ashbourne Independent Sixth Form College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Kensington, West London.

The college was founded as Ashbourne Independent College in 1981 and was co-educational from the start. It is a member of the Council for Independent Further Education (CIFE). A smaller than average institution of its type, the college provides 157 places for students between the ages of 13 and 21 when fully subscribed.
