JFS School is one of the UK’s leading non selective comprehensive schools, offering an outstanding education to over 2000 students serving the London Jewish community JFS is a ten form entry secondary school with over 2000 students on roll serving the Jewish community in North West London.  Established in 1732, the school moved to its current greenfield site located in Kenton, Harrow in 2001.  

The school seeks to appoint a highly experienced individual to the newly created post of Senior Deputy Headteacher. Reporting directly to the Head, the appointee will have whole school responsibility for the day to day operation of the School. The successful candidate will have oversight of the implementation of the School’s Strategic Vision and deputise for the Head, as well as attend all meetings of the Board of Governors and its committees. For individuals aspiring to headship, this post offers an excellent opportunity to develop as a leader in one of the leading schools in the country. 

The successful candidate will bring significant experience of senior leadership and management, an extensive understanding of the academic work and effective behaviour management of successful schools, as well as organisational management skills and strategic ability. The senior deputy headteacher will be a highly visible and collaborative senior leader. Outstanding communication skills and the personal authority to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and other stakeholders are essential, as is a commitment to the vision and values of JFS School.
