Senior Early Years Practitioner  

Start Date: October 2018 

Salary: Scale 4, £18,870 per annum 

Hours: 37 hrs per week. 

This is a Permanent, Full Year Position 

The nursery is open 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Thursday and until 6.00pm on Friday. Shifts will be between these times and it will be a variety of early (7.15am to 3.15pm) and late shifts (10.30am to 6.30pm or 6.00pm on Friday). 

Candidates must hold a minimum of a full and relevant Level 3

Gorsey Bank is a high performing primary in Wilmslow and we are also home to the Altius Alliance, a School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider which has been given the top grade by Ofsted.   

As a result of our success, we are proud to have been selected to open five brand new schools and a nursery, three of which will open in September 2018.

That is why we are looking for a Senior Early Years Practitioner to join us at this exciting time.   This is an important appointment for the Trust as this will be the first nursery the Trust has opened and you will be able to work alongside the Nursery Manager to make your mark from the outset to ensure the nursery is as outstanding as all of our provision across the Trust.

Cheadle Hulme Primary School first opened in September 2018 and has been going from strength to strength ever since!

Cheadle Hulme Primary School is a hugely oversubscribed, non-selective, non-denominational, two form entry primary school with two classes in each year as well as a pre-school. We are co-located with our sister secondary, Laurus Cheadle Hulme High School.

In our very first Ofsted inspection in January 2023, Cheadle Hulme Primary School was judged Outstanding for the Personal Development of pupils and Early Years and Good overall.

Professional Development

We attach huge importance to continued Professional Learning and recognise that, in the exciting and ever-changing environment in which we work, we are all learners and are constantly looking for ways to improve our practice.

Our comprehensive programme of in-house Professional Learning comprises weekly pedagogy-based sessions, Further Professional Learning sessions, opportunities to coach and mentor and to engage in research.

Being part of a Multi Academy Trust enables our staff to collaborate across schools and phases. Not only does this broaden their experience, it opens up a wider range of leadership opportunities.

As a Trust we actively develop our teachers through accredited programmes such as National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) and many of our staff have completed study at Masters level.
