Senior Pastoral Leader

Band H (Pro-rata £24,201 - £27,033)
Term Time Plus 5 days
Are you an aspiring leader, wishing to drive forward our pastoral provision at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy?
This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified, ambitious and aspiring leader to join our team to lead the personal development, welfare and achievement of our young people. We are looking to appoint a colleague with the right skills, personal qualities and attributes to inspire engagement in learning and lead a team of pastoral welfare managers to deliver the very best care, guidance and support.
The Senior Pastoral Leader will provide high quality pastoral care, support learning and offer guidance for students by identifying and removing barriers to learning and promoting health and wellbeing to secure positive progression routes. Working to build a team ethos, the successful candidate will liaise with staff, parents/carers and multi-agencies to ensure that students develop the necessary emotional, social and physical resilience to engage successfully with learning.
This post would provide an excellent leadership responsibility for new or longer established candidates. The Trust also offers the potential for suitably qualified graduates to progress into teaching in the future.
This post involves working with children and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at an enhanced level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check
