Contract term: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to drive educational improvement for Children and Young People in Wakefield.

Playing a key role in the School Improvement team, our new Senior Advisers will support and challenge leaders across the district, ensuring we achieve the very best for all learners and focus on our mission of all schools being good and beyond.

If you are ready for an opportunity to use your skills to influence at a strategic level – making a difference for thousands of young people – we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for talented school improvement experts.  But as well as offering knowledge and experience of how schools can improve at pace, it’s also important that you have the credibility to engage with stakeholders and partners across the school system.

You’ll need to forge effective professional relationships at all levels – from schools and multi academy trusts to governors, teachers and other agencies.

Working predominantly with Wakefield’s primary schools, you’ll also have responsibility for a number of other service areas.  We’ll agree this with you, depending on interest and experience, but your additional management responsibilities could include Early Years, assessment, music or SACRE.

It is also important that you share our wider vision for the service and can work with our teams to improve and enhance our traded offer – ensuring we continue to deliver high quality services that schools value and trust.

To be successful, it’s likely you will have led school improvement in a relevant context – either as a school leader or perhaps in an advisory role with a local authority, academy trust or other school-led system.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a committed team who are already delivering great results.  You’ll find talented colleagues ready to support you every step of the way.

We look forward to hearing from you.
