Senior School Teacher of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) - Maternity Leave Position

Full time role to 1 August 2022 - 31 December 2023

Applicants for this role will ideally be an inspiring energetic and enthusiastic PDHPE specialist with previous experience teaching or who have an understanding of NESA PDHPE Course Stage 4, 5 & 6 ; proven results and experience teaching Stage 6 PDHPE will be highly regarded. 


Applicants for this role will ideally have:  

  • Qualifications in subject area and Teaching and or Education that allow registration as a Teacher in NSW.     
  • Fulfill requirements as mandated by NESA.    
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check Clearance.     
  • Use technology in the classroom. 
  • An understanding of All PDHPE NESA Courses Stages, 4, 5 & 6.
  • Experience in teaching Stage 5 & 6 PDHPE would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in Co-Curricular Outdoor Education including Duke of Edinburgh Award coordination would be highly regarded.


The Role

The Senior School Teacher of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) - Maternity Leave Position,following a successful probation period of 3 months,  will continue with a full-time teaching load, concluding 31 December 2023.

The Scots School Albury is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational independent boarding school located in New South Wales, Australia. The school was established in 1972 from a merger of the Albury Grammar School and the Woodstock Presbyterian Girls School. In 2016 The Scots School Albury celebrated its 150th anniversary.

The school is Preschool - Year 12 with a current enrolment of approximately 525 students. Boarding is available for students between Years 7-12 with the Sellars House for boys and the Wilson House for girls.

Our Junior School is an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). The PYP is a contemporary approach to education that is delivered in schools around  Australia and the world.
