Silverdale School is an extremely popular and high-achieving 11-18 comprehensive in the south west of Sheffield and is the founding school of Chorus Education Trust. The school is rated as ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted 2014) and achieved the best GCSE results in 2019 of any state school in South Yorkshire. At Post 16 the progress students make places Silverdale in the top 5% of schools nationally and in 2019 students achieved the highest A-level results in the city. At its heart is one of the country’s largest Teaching Schools, the Sheffield Teaching School Alliance. The school sits within a new building with a full complement of facilities.

Required from September 2019, to work as a member of a flexible Science department support team. Providing a comprehensive range of technical support and related functions which are efficient, effective and responsive to the needs department, including preparation and maintenance of resources and support to staff and pupils. The successful candidate will need to be confident in supporting practical work to A-level and willing to work across all sciences if required.
