Founded in 2011, Steven Gerrard Academy specialise in the delivery of football and education courses with a mission to create pathways for the next generation of sports industry professionals. Students progress to UK and USA universities, international and academy coaching and professional football.

The recently announced collaboration with LLS will see Steven Gerrard Academy operate in several countries including England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Spain, with more than 400 young people on roll and employ a full-time staff of 30+ experienced teaching, sports and business specialists, with the Senior Leadership Team including two former high school Vice Principals overseeing the quality of teaching and learning.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced PE Teacher and football coach (UEFA B minimum) to work on a full-time basis, teaching and coaching at Steven Gerrard Academy. This will include delivering Lvl 3 BTEC Sport qualifications alongside student recruitment, marketing and strategic responsibilities.

Highlights of the essential criteria:

Good understanding of the requirements of delivering Level 3 BTEC National Diploma Qualifications.
Experience of coaching elite players in 11v11 setting
Involvement or desire to be involved in curriculum planning.
Post-Graduate teaching qualification (PGCE or PGDE)

Steven Gerrard Academy has entered its tenth academic year, making us the longest, most established academy of our kind. This has enabled us to build and maintain strong networks. Guest speakers and industry experts not only strengthen the curriculum, but also offer opportunities for our students to gain qualifications and kickstart their careers.

Currently, the academy offers qualifications in Sport at levels 2 and 3.

Message from Steven Gerrard:

Growing up, I was lucky because I went through the LFC academy system and managed to play for Liverpool FC and England. Unfortunately, a lot of young people are not as lucky, and they can find themselves not knowing where to go next. The academy offers an amazing opportunity for players to continue playing the game they love, whilst furthering their education and choosing their path.
