Job overview

Corby Business Academy is an aspirational Academy working as part of the Brooke Weston Trust. A co-educational 11 – 18 Academy with over 1,000 students, we serve a very broad range of need. Our provision includes a 75 place unit catering for those with Special Educational Need. This is an integral part of the school. Alongside our drive for academic success, music and the arts, sport and other enrichment activities encourage a confidence in students. Through this they become active citizens in their community.

Our recent Ofsted judged the school as “Requires Improvement”. The follow up monitoring visit validated our approach as we aim to make a rapid journey to Good. As we look to the future we are excited about the potential that is within the school. In this context we are looking for an ambitious Senior Vice Principal to work closely with our newly appointed Associate Principal and play a key role in our journey of improvement.

The Brooke Weston Trust is an established MAT across the East Midlands and the East of England. The Trust's mission is centred around transforming educational under-performance in the hardest places by making long term commitments to disadvantaged communities. Trust academies both primary and secondary work well together, sharing resources and expertise in order to maximise impact.

We are looking for an ambitious leader with well developed interpersonal skills and a personal value set to play a key role in the next stage of our development. Our model of leadership offers opportunities to further develop leadership skills in a supportive yet challenging context. We will look to utilise the skills and expertise you have to the benefit of the academy and Trust and will look to develop and stretch your expertise further.

We have much more to say and show about our approach, our context and the opportunities ahead. Corby Business Academy has a “can do” attitude. We are looking for a “can do” leader. We encourage you to visit and see our potential first hand  To arrange a visit or for a confidential discussion please call our advising consultants Tom Atkins (07879 435232) or Mike Phillips (07830 313915) at Pentir. Full details on the role are at www.pentir.com/cba  .
