We seek applications from those of no faith, all faiths and the Catholic faith, and who are supportive of our Christian values and ethos.
Working at St. Mary’s is an extraordinary opportunity. Our Surveys this year showed that 96% of staff enjoy their work at St Marys, 97% agree that leaders do all they can to ensure a motivated and respected staff.. We are passionately committed to developing staff and managing workload to ensure that colleagues enjoy their work and recognise St. Mary’s as an almost-uniquely positive place to teach and enjoy their careers.
The school is also at an extremely exciting juncture in its future. Demand is high, and owing to intense oversubscription, we are 3 years through expansion to 6FE. We have also won over £5.3m in capital bids in the last 3 years and are enjoying brand new cutting edge facilities as a result. The school faces an extremely strong and positive financial future.
We require a proactive, confident and supportive professional to reinforce the established high standards and expectations in our Sixth Form Study Centre. The successful candidate will support the Head of Sixth Form by being responsible for the supervision of the sixth form students during their private study time, completing Sixth Form administration and contribute to the promotion of progress and well-being of students within the school. The school offers excellent professional development and guidance, with a highly effective and supportive CPD programme. This post could be an ideal springboard for an aspiring teacher (we are part of the BSET initial teacher training programme). Similarly, it would also be suitable for candidates simply looking for term-time only hours.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS disclosure is required for all successful applicants. St Mary’s is committed to the equality of opportunity for all applicants
