We’re looking for an inspirational Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCo) with a proven track record of success in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.  We want to hear from talented middle leaders looking to extend their experience, and outstanding, ambitious teachers seeking their first middle leadership post.  The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and motivational skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You will:

Have a degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.

Be an experienced practitioner, ideally with a strong background in working with children with SEN.

Have a track record of delivering ‘outstanding’ teaching.

Hold the national SENCo qualification or be working towards it.

Have a thorough understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.

Have a minimum of three years' teaching experience.

You will be:

Committed to ensuring SEND students excel both personally and academically.

Keen to develop professionally.

Organised and experienced in leading and managing other staff

An excellent team player and communicator, able to liaise with a variety of external agencies.

Prepared to model teach and team teach with our teaching and learning staff.

Positive and forward thinking.

Calm and empathetic.
